Using a large Walnut slab that was sitting around my garage for a couple years, I made this pair of console tables. I did an epoxy pour on the whole slab, then cut it in half length-ways to create two 48×13 console tables. Based on the split cut, one top features the crotch compression feature while the other is a more traditional straight grain. The epoxy is flat black and finished the tables with hard wax oil.
