First cutting board made from Walnut and Maple. I cut 1/8, 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, 5/8, 3/4, 7/8, 1, 1-1/8 inch strips from both woods and glued them together in alternating and increasing increments to create this board. It is an edge grain board but it’s my favorite design and the only cutting board I’ve kept for myself so far.

Use a proper thin strip jig on the table saw as well as a zero-clearance throat plate. It was difficult and kind of dangerous cutting strips that thin with the plastic push stick and larger opening in the standard insert.
