Hardwood Display Board

I bought a variety pack of pre-cut domestic and exotic hardwoods used in woodworking. Up to this point I have really only worked with construction grade lumber like 2×4’s and sheet goods. I wanted to see and work with a bunch of different hardwoods. After receiving the boards, I decided to make this display board by sanding, finishing and labeling one side and leaving the back side unfinished. This way I can easily see what each wood looks like with finish on it but also in it’s raw state. I added a magnet to each board so I can remove them.

32 domestic and exotic hardwoods, Java Gel Stain (for the borders), Rare-earth Magnets
